culture and creative nontraditional interventions to help bring about positive change. He is a graduate of Texas College where he earned his B.S degree. Dajahn attended SDSU for graduate school and in 1985 the San Diego Urban League gave Dajahn his first opportunity to work in the community as an outreach worker where quickly became a dynamic resource and advocate for his community. In 1990 Dajahn earned the title of Mr. Black San Diego and began a journey of utilizing his creativity to help to empower urban youth and the communities in which they lived. He founded Urban Warriors Inc. and continued his work as a Community Health Educator for the San Diego San Diego City Schools uniquely able to incorporate education and entertainment [Edu-tainment] facilitated peer to peer education for healthy active fit youth. Dajahn is an Aubrey award winning actor, singer dancer and playwright who has graced the stages of many theaters in San Diego, working with the likes of Loretta Devine and Lawrence Fishburne. Dajahn continues to use his talents as a playwright, Artistic Director, performer, teacher and educator of health, wellness and fitness. He is the creator of the curriculum Tool Box “Insight Challenge 2 Change” program that provides prevention intervention and creative support for youth and families. Dajahn is also the creator of the UPAKA (Urban Performing & Kreative Arts) youth and community empowerment center and the annual Kuumba Fest San Diego’s longest running premier celebration of Black art, culture, heritage and empowerment.
